University of Cambridge has announced scholarships to support the students from less developed and developing countries that are rich in biodiversity through the Miriam Rothschild Scholarship Programme in Conservation Leadership.

This scholarship will be provided to study MPhil degree in Conservation Leadership. This course is a full-time degree of one-year duration. It is a Masters course and it aims at graduates of leadership potential with at least three to five years of relevant experience. The unique features of this course are its delivery by a partnership between several university departments and conservation organizations based around Cambridge, and its focus on issues of management and leadership. Consequently, the course aims to deliver a world-class and interdisciplinary education in Conservation Leadership that is not available elsewhere.

Based in the University of Cambridge's Department of Geography this course works in collaboration with partners in the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) to deliver the course. CCI was created in 2007 by eight internationally renowned conservation organisations and the University of Cambridge. All are members of the larger network of organizations in the Cambridge Conservation Forum (CCF).

The applicants are welcome to apply for this Miriam Rothschild Scholarship Programme in Conservation Leadership for the course starting in October 2012. The deadine to apply for this scholarship is 30 March 2012.

The Programme Administrator for Conservation Leadership is Emily Chenery, based in the Department of Geography who is available to respond to any student queries.
