The School reserves the possibility of accepting up to a maximum of 2 further students without grant or other forms of financial support.
1. Applicants must hold a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or a Master of Arts (M.A.) or equivalent title (see also article 6 point 2. c below). There is no restriction on nationality of origin.
2. Undergraduate students who will be awarded one of the foregoing degrees before September 19, 2011, may also apply. In this case, a successful application will be conditional to the subsequent completion of the degree and the transmission to the School of adequate documentation, also in electronic form, no later than September 22, 2011.
1.Candidates are requested to apply online at: www.sssup.it/phdapplicationonline by April 13, 2011 by 12.00 pm GMT. In case of any problem with the online application, please contact the Ph.D. Administration Office (tel. +39 050 883.383/335/220, e-mail: email@example.com).
A hardcopy of the application (signed by the candidate) together with the enclosures as per art. 7, must reach by April 20, 2011.

2. The Selection Committee, appointed by the Director of the School, will assign a score between 1 and 100 based on the academic achievements, the submitted scientific publications, as well as on the Research Project (both in terms of quality and relevance for the Ph.D. programme). Candidates that obtain less than 70/100 in the evaluation of titles will be declared non eligible and will be excluded from the general publicized ranking.
3. The general list of the candidates scoring above 70/100 will be published on the website www.sssup.it no later June 15, 2011.
