What is it?
The scholarship covers all school expenses, housing, food, personal allowance and transportation for 5 female students and 5 male students to attend the university of their choice, outside of the Gulf, to attain a Bachelor’s Degree.
Who is eligible for 2012 Scholarships?
Students holding a Bahraini passport who have attained a grade point average of at least 97% and will graduate from secondary school in 2012 are eligible to have applications reviewed.
How do I apply?
The application is available on the website: www.cpisp.bh. Please follow the instructions on the website carefully. Applications and all supporting material must be turned in to the International Scholarship Program office at the Court of the Crown Prince during the Application Acceptance Period from 13 - 28 February 2011.
How does the process work?
Students who turn in applications MUST be at Khawla Girls School for an English language test, and must bring with them their CPR Card and one copy of the Passport. Date: 5 March 2011 @ 7:30 a.m.
Failure to be present for this test will cause you to be removed from consideration. Grade point averages and the results of this test will be used to determine the 60 candidates (30 female and 30 male). Candidates will be notified by telephone.
Candidates will be expected to attend the summer IELTS and SAT prep classes held in March and April.
The IELTS will be administered in May and the SAT will be adminstered in May and October.
Candidates will also be expected to participate in a Summer Traing Program, which is part of the selection process. Details of this program will be provided to candidates upon selection.
The selection of the 10 scholarship recipients will be made as soon as the first semester grades are available. The selection will be based on factors such as GPA, IELTS and SAT scores.
YES PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AND STUDENTS NOT IN BAHRAIN
Students taking part in the YES Program from Sep. 2010 to July 2011 and/or who will not be in Bahrain during the Application Submission period can send completed application forms and attachments by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 28 February 2011.
For the English Language Test component of the application process, students are requested to sit for a general IELTS exam at a British Council testing center near them, and send a scanned copy of their results by email to email@example.com no later than 7 March 2011. (Students will be reimbursed for their test fees upon presentation of their test receipt.)
