AVAC: Global Advocacy for HIV Prevention invites applications for 2012 Advocacy Fellowship project. Terms on which the grants are given:-
|Women graduates from Britain and overseas are eligible to apply|
|They must be studying in the academic year 2011 2012 in Great Britain for a postgraduate doctoral award e.g. PhD, D.Phil.|
|Any subject or field of study will be considered|
|There is no upper age limit|
|The aim of the scheme is to help students complete their programme and so, in the 2011 round applications will only be accepted from students intending to complete and submit their thesis before the end of the academic year 2011 2012.|
|Evidence of ability to pay fees is required|
|The competition is open to both full-time and part-time students.|
|The Grants will be a contribution only towards the living expenses of one year’s academic study or research|
The amount of the Foundation Grant will be decided by FfWG, but normally will not exceed £6,000. All our grants are offered on a needs basis and therefore not all grants will be for £6,000. Closing date for the return of applications: Monday 4 April 2011 . The last date to request an application will be Thursday 24 March. The Foundation’s decision is final and no subsequent correspondence will be entered into.
Grant holders must submit a written report on their year’s work within six weeks of the end of their academic year.

|The application form must be completed on a computer and returned by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org A hard signed copy of your application must be returned to the Grants Administrator at the address on the form.|
|Before returning the completed form answer all questions on the form, do not enter ‘see C.V.’|
|Ensure you have included:-|
Evidence of acceptance for the relevant year A brief summary of your thesis (one side of A4), if applicable A copy of your first degree A postal order, made payable to BFWG Charitable Foundation, for the administration fee of £12 must be returned by post together with a hard signed copy of the application form and all enclosures.

Obtain the consent of your referees before submitting their names and draw their attention to the closing date for your application. ONE OF YOUR REFERENCE FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED BY YOUR TUTOR OR SUPERVISOR . Without both references applications will not be considered.
It is your responsibility to ensure your references arrive at our office before the closing date of Monday 4 April 2011 .
